Cardinal Health Care Products for At-Home Care

Disclosure:  Cardinal Health sent me this product to try, and donated to a charity of my choice.  I received no other compensation for this post and all opinions are my own.

Cardinal Health Care Products

Most women who have a regular vaginal birth with their children have episiotomies and they have a lot of special needs after their delivery.  This can be difficult after leaving the hospital because if they need special products it may be hard for them to locate what they need.  And any mother knows that it's never an easy recovery because with a newborn you don't get breaks, therefore it can be even more difficult to get better.  Which makes it that much more important to have the correct health supplies to recover quickly so you can get on with the happiness of being a new mom!

Cardinal Health Supplies offers an easy and reliable service with the best products on the market for post-perineal care and much more.  The Perineal cold pack that I received makes it easy and quick to get relief because it activates instantly.  You can use it for up to 30 minutes to relieve the swelling and pain associated with the birth.  Just make sure that you only wear it 30 minutes maximum at a time.  The pack does not need refrigeration and it also is lined with an absorbent pad so that any leakage will be wicked away.  This pack and other Cardinal Health products have been used in US hospitals for many years and now they have a whole line of at-home care products.

Perineal care is not the only thing that Cardinal Health products help - they also offer hospital quality products for wound care, first aid, home healthcare and personal care.  A lot of these things many people do not have access to after leaving the hospital and they don't receive enough to get them through total care.  And getting more products can mean a trip to the hospital or doctor that may not be readily available.  This way anyone can order the same products that hospitals are using and have it delivered right to their front door.  Never worry about caring for yourself again.  Each year 46.1 million surgical procedures are done and many do not have the proper post-hospital care they require to fully recover.  This can cause further pain as well as infections that can easily be avoided.

Over 40 million Americans are in-home care providers for someone else.  Cardinal Health products can easily give these caregivers the access to the supplies they need to ensure the health and safety of their patients.  With nearly 100 years of experience, Cardinal Health provides medical products and services to many of America’s most prestigious medical institutions.

My daughter was born in 2006 and I had a Cesarean Section with her so I have never had a vaginal delivery.  My recovery in the hospital went perfectly fine, I was out in the 4 day period and home with my daughter.  It was not until about a week after my surgery that I sat down and my wound started leaking very badly, giving me quite a scare.  I had no pain and it was not bloody but more of a yellowish discharge.  The doctor told me it was something that happened and it was a fat pocket that had opened just on the surface level of stitches.  I had no idea what to do and because of my being overweight it was difficult for me to even see my surgery scar.  Luckily my mom was able to help me but the only way to fix it was to go in and have the doctor clean the wound and "pack" it so that it would heal from the inside out.  YUCK it did NOT sound good to me and it didn't appeal much to my mom either seeing as she had to do the packing each day.  So they gave us enough packing for a few days even though I did not have an appointment for another week.  So we had to keep going back to get more supplies every few days which was difficult with my newborn and my mom working full time.  I wish I had known about Cardinal Health back then, it would have helped me SO much.  My mom had to remove the soaked packing each day and then repack my wound using a long thin wooden stick.  Fun huh?  This went on for about 2 1/2 weeks and finally it healed up enough so the doctor could cauterize it and finally it was done.  But just like this I didn't think I would have trouble since I was fine in the hospital and I really wish I could have relied on a home delivery service for the supplies.  It would have helped tremendously.

So next time you are planning on having a surgery or find yourself in need of medical supplies for any reason look up Cardinal Health and get them quickly and discreetly delivered to your door.  You can find links to Cardinal Health below.
