***My Personal Review***

What exactly IS melatonin?  Melatonin is something that our bodies are supposed to make enough of naturally but in some people with disorders we don't have enough.  A lot of people need that extra melatonin to help them fall asleep and calm them down to stay asleep but they don't know about it.  It is something that I wasn't aware of until I had my daughter 8 years ago and she had heart surgery at 2 months old and then was diagnosed with Williams syndrome a year later.  Anxiety and severe insomnia set in on me and it was terrible.  I had to be able to sleep well because she didn't and every second counted.  So for years I have been on Ambien and melatonin to help me.  So when this review came up I went for it because I thought if there was a better way to go to reduce my meds then all the better!  So I stopped taking my melatonin pills and started using this for a few weeks and I have noted that this is much easier and actually works better than the pills and I can just rub it in.  I normally use 10 mg a night and that takes about 3 pumps of the cream - but I also noticed that if I use the cream I don't need as much because it absorbs but also stays on your skin so it's almost like an extended release medicine.  A lot of children and adults with the same syndrome as my daughter actually have to use melatonin as well for sleeping troubles so I have let them all know about this awesome cream because getting a child to take pills or medicine is a LOT easier when they can just pretend it's baby cream :)  Overall I would recommend trying this after talking to your physician to make sure it's safe.
