For this review I received a full pound of this wonderful pure shea butter. I couldn't believe it was that much and it takes so little to work well! This is not like what you would buy in the store - it is pure, unrefined and all natural and organic. It is made from the nuts of the shea tree in Ghana. It contains vitamins and minerals, and is a wonderful skin moisturizer and lip balm. I love to take just a little bit of this and rub it onto my lips - I even made my mom try it and she was amazed at how well it worked compared to ANY lip balm she has ever had. Plus it stays for hours without having to reapply - the oils keep your skin soft and moistened.
I have a serious acne problem on my face and this shea butter did not leave a nasty residue and I did not notice any problems after using it. I would just take a little bit of it and hold it in my hands for a few seconds, let it heat up and rub wherever needed! It is seriously that easy. I have stretch marks and it said it was good for those, so I tried it - definitely lightened them. And one pound of this amazing shea butter will last you for a LONG time. You can use it in DIY lotions and lip balms, shampoos - whatever you like to make that would work great with shea butter. And soap - ahhhhh soap! This would be wonderful on your skin and so moisturizing :) I want to try some recipes using it.
This shea butter is Grade A Ivory color and you can use it on your hair as well - has such a wonderful scent from the nut tree it comes from :) You should know that if you are allergic to any kind of nut, this product could cause a severe allergic reaction. So it is not recommended for those allergic to nuts. Otherwise give it a shot!
